SpiderGat's "Rescue in the Welkins" Guide 1: Intro 2: Map and Map Pieces 3: Monsters Encountered 4: Quest 5: Starting the Quest 6: Room explanations 7: Navigation 8: Quest Items
Intro
Hello there weary traveler! What's that? You've come seeking guidance because you're stuck in that mid 20's grind and there is no one to give CoD rushes? Have no fear! SpiderGat is here! In this guide I will be taking you through what I believe to be the best first time 20-30 character leveling area. A successful run of this area nets anywhere from 32-50k experience depending on the luck of your map and how many rooms are generated. This allows for quick solo leveling and the chance to pick up Common items while getting plenty of Monster Spirits for gear upgrades!
Now I've only run this area as a Warden so far because that is the first character I'm leveling. If others would like to chime in and flesh out this guide for the other classes I would be more than happy to ad addendums to it! Just let me know and you will be given full credit for your work! Now that I've told you what I'm going to do, LET'S DO IT!
Map and Map Pieces
The "Rescue in the Welkins" map is surprisingly simple to get used to. There are only 5 room types that you have to memorize, and once you know what they are you can quickly navigate your way through this quest and maximize your EPH (Experience Per Hour)
-The first Piece we have is the Good Ol' Starting Area.
-Piece number 1 is the Entryway.
-We then have a Connector Room.
-A Small Room.
-Another Connector Room.
-An XP Chamber.
-And the Finishing Room.
These "Pieces" will be arranged in random order and you will have random monsters in each. I will go over what monsters to expect in which rooms in the next section. The sooner you can familiarize yourself with the pieces, the sooner you can quickly finish a run of this quest.
Monsters Encountered
During this quest you will encounter a veritable menagerie of different monsters. Ranging from Mechanical to Insectoid to Extinct and back again. In Chambers S-F you will encounter; Executioners
 Chosen Zealots Chosen Cultists
 Chosen Sentinels
 Chosen Enforcer
 Trog Sentries
 Trog Bruisers
 Fear Cats
 and many more.
Sometimes you might even encounter a chosen scientist.
They have around 108 health depending on level, are surrounded by 4 Chosen Enforcers, and bagging one will give you a sweet ~1.2k xp!
The mechanical monsters in this zone hit for around 2 damage on a normal hit. And the Chosen Zealots have a knockback effect that can be rather annoying. But I use it to my advantage when laying a trap and then they move me backwards so I don't have to ^.^
All of the Connecting room mobs will net a cool ~270-400 xp each. Making each connector room worth about 1-2k depending on the luck of the kill.
In the Entryway Chamber you will only encounter 2 patrol groups of Chosen Zealots.
In Chambers 2, 3, 4, and F you will only encounter a random combination of patrol groups containing Trogs, Mechanical, and maybe a scientist. They usually come 2 groups of 3 or 4. This allows you to tackle both at once, or take on one at a time depending on how well you can trap and kite. And in the XP Chambers you will find the following depending on the spawn of your particular map
Mammoths (with one adult) They'll net you about 114-150 xp each and do about 1- normal damage a hit.

Brachyura (with one adult)

Abominations Don't have photo yet -.- You'll know when you see em >.>
A patrol Group guarding these:

Mosquitos: lots of em, ~50 xp each and do 1- toxic damage

Trogs: ~120 xp each, 1-normal damage

Predators: ~110-150 xp each and do about 1- sound damage a hit.

These rooms will generally net you a ton of xp. If you get a room of mosquitos, it wont be as great, but that's why there are 2-7 xp rooms per quest!
Quest
The goal of this quest is to reach the captured Pangolan Ranger trapped in the last room. He's been paralyzed however, and needs a certain potion in order to free himself from captivity! In order to make your way to him you will have to find Key Cards ( 2 to be exact) along the way that grant you entry to the different zones of this map.
Also at the end of the quest when you reach the Pangolan. You must talk to him TWICE. The first time select the bottom choice. Then talk to him again and you will have it completed, assuming you have the potion of course.
Starting the Quest
In the first 2 chamber you enter, upon killing the Chosen Zealot, you'll recieve the Grey Keycard.
This will allow you to move on to the next area. The next 2 chamber you encounter after that will drop the next keycard, the Red Keycard.
You will find the potion along the way in one of the 3 chambers in a chest box.
There are lots of them which means lots of free xp. Also you have to get the quest item from it so you might as well click them all anyway.
After getting both KeyCards and securing the Potion from the Box, all that's left to do is clear those XP rooms and all the connectors and small rooms. As you clear the rooms, when you find yourself in a connector room, before you move on, just step into each of the connections to see if it's a small room so you don't have to come back later.
All the mobs come in groups of 6-8, except for in the Xp rooms where there are 7(Predators) to ~25(mosquitos) The tactic for all of them is round em up and AOE down. Bramble as a hunter, or mind trap as an illusionist. Once I go through with different characters I'll let you know what I've found!
And that's all there is to it! I will ad more to this guide later on but for now this is all I have. I'm new to the image formatting so if I knew the exact requirements of the photos and how big to save them and such I'd do better with that. But I hope this helped!
Your Questing Brother,
SpiderGat
Special Thanks to CreamSoup for getting me off my feet and helping me out so much! And to ijji for making such a fantastic game! You guys are doing great things and I'm glad that I'm here to be a part of it!
